# SHOW ROLE MEMBERSHIP
SHOW ROLE MEMBERSHIP lists the members of each role granted via role-based access control (RBAC).
`SHOW ROLE MEMBERSHIP` lists the members of each role granted (directly or
indirectly) via [role-based access
control](/security/) (RBAC).

## Syntax

SHOW ROLE MEMBERSHIP [ FOR <role_name> ];
```
